President Bola Ahmed Tunubu has been called upon to as a matter of necessity and political importance, consider the one and only most popular former governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda as the state ministerial nominee.
The call was made by the state coordinator of a political pressure group, known as Disciples of Jagaban (D0J) Bauchi State Chapter, Alhaji Hussani Suleman.
The coordinator pointed out that Mallam Isa Yuguda stands tall among all other names being touted in Bauchi State, considering his political weight and popularity. Another plus for him, he said is the significant role he played in the 2023 general elections to ensure that Bola Ahmed Tinubu got the required percentage in the state and other states of the North-East sub region.
He explained that as a former minister in the ministries of Transportation and Aviation, and two term governor, Isa Yuguda was tested and trusted and therefore, has what it takes to be the representative of the people of the state in whatever capacity, especially ministerial position.
“The choice of Yuguda by the political organisation (DOJ ) is due to the fact that he has transformed many of the citizens of Bauchi State when he was the governor of the state. And till date, he has no second in terms of popularity if it comes to individual capacity and mobilization”, he said.
Hussaini Suleiman added that “The group wishes to categorically state that Yuguda is the best among the contenders including Dr Musa Barbayo, Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tugga, Bala Jibrin, among others.”
