A second term member representing Jos-South/Jos-East Federal Constituency in the green chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Musa Bagos, has assured people of Plateau State of his resolve to work for the unity of the state to actualise the Plateau dream.
He stated this recently in an interview with journalists at his Post Inauguration Dinner held at the Emerald Events Centre in Jos, the Plateau State capital where thousands of supporters and well-wishers cutting across all faiths and political parties trooped in to celebrate with him on his inauguration.
The lawmaker said, “You are all aware of what we went through during the general elections and the high tension from diverse interests. But now, it is time for governance. And I want all of us Plateau people to ensure that we are united as government of the people to see that we get the dividends of democracy.
“This is because once we are not united, we will not be able to actualise our dream. So, unity is a key word and unity should be the focus of everyone of us so that we will be able to look at what our people will get as dividends of democracy”, he assured.
Reacting to the persistent attacks on communities in the state, Bagos expressed sadness that the previous administrations’ Governors in the state had no capacity. “So, we need a policy so that the Federal government should understand what is going on, on the Plateau to really address it. We are clearly saying: Not Now!.
“It is something that the Federal Government needs to address. We want the perpetrators to be arrested and justice should be served to the people that are being killed to give confidence to my people”, he advocated.
However, the second term House of Representatives member, has assured the people of his constituency to expect nothing less. “Talking about expectations in this second tenure, the only word that I can say is, expect nothing but wow!”
