The tradition of riding bicycle on highways to honour, register and felicitate with successful politicians as well as have a handshake with them has gained momentum in Nigeria.
One youngman who could not hold back his desire to express his happiness and felicitate with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, is Joseph Anyam.

To demonstrate his deep desire for this purpose, Anyam who hails from Konshisha Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State, embarked on the journey from Kaduna to Abuja-Nigeria on bicycle on the morning of Monday, 21 August, 2023 from Kaduna-Abuja Junction.

At the point of departure, he said, “I am so happy with His Excellency George Akume for his chains of political successes. It gives me joy that I witnessed when he was in office as Governor of Benue State.
“From there, he became a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and now the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
” I am very proud of him even though he is from Tarka Local Government Area and I am from Konshisha Local Government Area. We are brothers and speak the same dialect. I am very proud and happy because President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a wise decision to choose Senator Akume as the SGF.
” I know and trust that he will deliver very well. I am moreover happy because he holds the record of being the first Nigerian politician to be elected as former state governor, a Senator and now to be appointed SGF at a stretch”, Anyam stated.
