Governor Mutfwang launches direct flight to Abuja

yGovernor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State recently launched the inaugural flight of Abuja – Jos route by Value-jet Airline with a call on citizens of the state and those in the diaspora to patronise the airline for their benefits and for the development of the state.

According to the Governor, the launch of the direct flight signifies a significant step forward in enhancing connectivity and boosting economic growth in Plateau State.

Gov. Mutfwang also noted the direct service would improve accessibility between the two cities as it would unlock new opportunities for trade and tourism as well as strengthening ties between communities and fostering economic prosperity.

He said Value-jet Airline has carved a niche for itself in the airline business. Mutfwang urged them to sustain the posture just as he prayed against any mishap.

The inaugural flight which landed at the Yakubu Gowon Airport at about 10:25 am. Governor Mutfwang said the airline would be shuttling between Jos and Abuja three times a week and enjoined all to take advantage of Value-jet services.

Earlier, the Plateau State Commissioner of Transport , Hon.Jatau Davou Gyang noted that he was confident the seamless connection by one of the best airlines in the country would strengthen trade and tourism between the people.

” With our extensive global connections and well developed intermodal transport infrastructure, our airport, if upgraded to international status, is going to be the world’s busiest airport for both civil and cargo hubs in the country. Aviation aside, both Plateau State and Nigeria are thriving financial capitals and much potential is awaiting us”, he posited.

Hon.Gyang wished Value-jet every success in the business and urged citizens to take advantage and to patronise the airline.

The Airport Manager, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Yakubu Gowon Airport, Mr Rimdap Nantip Domtur who was optimistic said it was a dream come true.

He said the airport would continue to render qualitative services to all and urged reciprocal gestures from the passengers and the airline.

Representative of the Value-jet Airline, Mrs Yewande Cole assured of the airline’s prompt services, saying they would not afford to disappoint the general public.
