Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has reiterated his determination to destroy all areas suspected to be safe haven for criminals in the territory.
Disclosing this at the inspection of the site for the proposed Mabushi Katampe road corridor that has been taken over by Scavengers, Wike called on the Department of Development Control to clear the place without delay.
He assured that he will do everything possible to clear the place so as to ensure the people there are not disturbed anymore. The minister stressed that there is no compensation for anybody living in that area while directing development control to clear the area immediately so that all the criminals would be forced to leave.
On his own part, the Coordinator, Federal Capital Territory City Management Task Force Team, Galadima Mouktar, described the exercise as the mother of all cleanups. He added that the illegal activities would be cleared as directed by the minister.
The minister was accompanied by a combined team of security personnel and senior officials of the territory administration.
