Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has congratulated the recently elected Senator Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang and House of Representative Member, Honourable Daniel Asama Ago over their victory at the rerun election held at Northern zone and for Jos North and Bassa Federal House of Representatives.

According to the governor, the duo should see it as a victory for Plateau people and urged them to work assiduously for the progress of the people of the state while at the National Assembly.

Mutfwang gave this charge when the elected National Assembly members in company of the state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Chris A.Hassan, paid a solidarity visit to him at the New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos on Monday.

Prince Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang, was elected under the African Democratic Party (ADP), while Daniel Asama Ago was elected under Labour Party (LP).
The Governor also thanked the people of the state for speaking with one voice which he said led to their victory.

Mutfwang said ” It is the Plateau People’s Party (PPP), a party that cuts across every divide that elected you overwhelmingly. A party that doesn’t know tribe or ethnicity. It is beyond your expectations, the people voted, so the best for you to reciprocate is to work for them ”

He therefore assured them of the government’s support and advised them to liaise with former Senator Mwadkwon and House of Representative member Agah whom he said were conversant with the intrigues of the National Assembly for results.

While presenting the elected members to the governor , Hon. Chris Hassan, the State Chairman of (PDP), said they were in the Government House as a mark of appreciation to the governor for his wise counsel and support during the struggle.

According to Hassan, the party and their candidates were taken aback when they were informed 24 hours to the elections that the party would not participate but they took a decision that the people must speak. And he thanked God, their decision paid out handsomely.

He commended people of the state for their overwhelming support and urged them to reciprocate by providing dividends of democracy to the electorate.

Newly elected Senator Pam Dachungyang thanked the Plateau people for the support and promised not to disappoint them.

On his part, Hon. Daniel Asama, said he lacked words to express his gratitude to the people but assured that he would reciprocate by working assiduously for the people while at the National Assembly.
