The National Population Commission has released its Updated 2023 Census Work Plan as contained in its most recent release of the Updated 2023 Census Work Plan where it indicated that the Refreshers (Virtual Training) for state level facilitators and specialized workforce will begin on March 6, 2023, and end on March 12, 2023.
NPC set up a new NPC Enumerators training date for ad-hoc staff enumerators and supervisors for the 2023 Housing and Population Census.
She also disclosed that the new Enumerators and Supervisors training will last for a period of Seven Days from March 15 to March 21, 2023, in all the 774 LGAs of the country.
The NPC indicated that the refreshers (Virtual Training) for state level facilitators and Specialized Work Force will begin on March 6, 2023, and end on March 12, 2023, outlining new schedules of operations in the Updated 2023 Census Work Plan.
NPC also revealed that the LGA Level Trainers would have to travel to various LGA Level Training Centers between March 13 and 14, 2023, in order to prepare for the NPC ad hoc staff, enumerators and supervisors.
They revealed that the Commission’s evaluation of Training Centers for the 2023 Post-Enumeration Survey (PES) would be done between March 13 and March 20, 2023, as a pre-activity before the LGA Level Training and Person Enumeration.
NPC also disclosed that the Refreshers (Virtual Training) for State Level Facilitators and Specialized Work force will begin on March 6, 2023, and end on March 12, 2023, as contained in the newly up dated schedules of operations of the year 2023 Updated 2023 Census Work Plan.

It also stated that the Building Numbering and Household Listing Training for enumerators and supervisors at the LGA level will take place between March 15 and March 21, 2023, and that the profiling of enumerators and supervisors for the census proper will take place during the same period.
NPC did not mince words when it alerted all the concerned persons or group of personalities that the LGA level training on Person’s Enumeration will be held from April 26 through April 30 of the year 2023, even as she added that the Census Night will be on May 2, 2023.
They also disclosed that the Updated 2023 Census Work Plan of the National Population Commission intended to reschedule the 2023 Population and Housing Census Exercise following the INEC activities currently moving from one card or ballot paper to BeVAS.
It disclosed that following the new schedule of the Commission, the Enumeration of Persons which was earlier scheduled to begin on 29th March 2023 and to end 02 April 2023 has been rescheduled to commence on 3rd May 2023 and to end on 7th May 2023.
