Security of corpers paramount to state government – Gov Sani

The Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has said that security of corps members is paramount to the state.

The governor who was represented by the state Commissioner of Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu, stressed that, “the security of corps members is Paramount to the state government.

Governor Sani stated this during the formal opening and swearing – in ceremony of 2023 batch B stream ll orientation course, which was held at NYSC temporary orientation camp, Government College in Kaduna.

The governor however assured the corps members that his government is committed to the achievement of goals of the scheme and it always created the enabling environment needed for corps members to realise their potentials.

” The pivotal role of the NYSC scheme in our quest for national integration and sustainable development is attested to by the noteworthy contribution of corps members to community development and implementation of many government programmes and implementation.”

In his address, the Kaduna State NYSC Coordinator, Mr Hassan Mahmud Taura said, “On behalf of the Director General NYSC, Brig.General YD Ahmed, I convey his immense appreciation to the state governor for gracing this occasion and also the chief judge of the state for always accepting our invitation to administer the Oath of Allegiance on the corps members”.

The coordinator however explained that a total number of 1347 corps members have registered, comprising 663 males and 684 females.

The orientation course is a foundational stage of the NYSC journey and therefore it serves as a platform for them to learn vital skills that would mould them into more responsible and patriotic citizens, he added.
