Mutfwang assures NIPSS of support, collaboration

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State has assured
participants of Senior Executive Course 46,2024 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru of government’s unwavering support and collaboration in order to achieve their set mandate.

He stated this when the management of the Institute led by the Director of Studies, Professor Funmi Para Mallam and the course participants, paid him a courtesy visit at the new Governor’s Office, Little Rayfield, Jos, recently.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Arc Samuel N. Jatau , he said, the topic of their course study, which has to do with digital economy and youth empowerment, was apt and timely coupled with the fact the state had such plans of training the teeming youths of the state in that direction.

Governor Mutfwang explained that the state is doing everything within its limited resources to further create employment opportunities for as many as possible. He further said that “the state government also wants to start an ICT training. ” And Iam optimistic the state will be a hub for ICT in the nearest future “, he stated

He therefore intimated them of the state government’s interest in their research work at the end of their studies to compare notes so as to plan for the future.

Earlier, the Director of Studies , Prof. Malam who represented the Director- General, Prof. Ayo Omotayo, commended the government for a robust relationship that had existed over time between the duo and called for sustainability.

She called for collaboration between the state and the Institute, announcing that the course participants would be formally inaugurated tomorrow the next day at Institute.

In a vote of thanks, a course participant, Sumdung Eldad James, thanked the Governor for giving them audience, pointing out that his speech was assuring.

James assured that the participants would conduct themselves accordingly and promised to share with the wider world the knowledge they acquired at NIPSS, at the end of their course.
