SSA inaugurates committee on community crisis

The Senior Special Assistant on Security  to  Kogi state Governor in-charge of Ijumu Local Government Area, Taufiq Isa has inaugurated a committee to tackle the lingering crisis between Ogale and Aduge communities.

The inauguration was held on Monday shortly after the meeting of major stakeholders and security agencies from the Local Government to find lasting solution on the crisis between the two communities.

The Chief Security Officer for Ijumu Council Area, Taufiq  Isa  in a statement made available to Newsmen in Lokoja on Monday, said that the meeting was convened as part of measures to restore stability in the area and promote peace and harmony between the affected communities.

The Chief Security Officer assured the committee members that Ijumu Local Government will uphold the right of every citizen to live in peace and harmony.

Among the committee members inaugurated included Former Special adviser on culture and tourism to the Governor of Kogi State, Hon.Lewis Asubiojo, Former Secretary of the Local Government, Former Director of Local Government, Bro. O.J Dare, Director of Security, Mr. Durotiwon Pedro and Heads of Security agencies in the zone.
