Ebomi General Overseer unveils

THE General Overseer of Ebomi Ministry, Prophet Isa El-buba, in his quest to contribute to the development of a better society, has launched a foundation tagged: “Dr. Isa El-buba Foundation (DISEF)” to promote good governance that would fight poverty and support less privileged persons in the society.

He launched this recently, at the national headquarters of the Ebomi Ministry in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Hundreds of people trooped in to witness the occasion and described the initiative as a saving grace to the poor.

Speaking at the unveiling of the foundation, the General Overseer said the foundation would be dedicated toward fostering holistic human capital development, deepening democratic good governance and sustainable growth in areas that would have direct bearing on the lives of citizens.

He said, ”Our mission is to create a positive and lasting change, uplift communities and enable individuals to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives. We will nurture strong families, promote human capital development, deepen democratic governance and foster spirituality among Nigerians

”We will also enhance religious harmony through strategic intervention, partnerships, programming and community engagement. This foundation will empower communities to be economically self-sufficient, politically engaged , socially just and educationally empowered. We will strive to create lasting positive change and sustainable development, promoting a brighter and more equitable future for all,” he highlighted.

THE NIGERIA STANDARD reports that the General Overseer, had in the past provided scholarships to hundred students from poor families, housing to displaced persons and financial support to poor women to boost their businesses.

He, however, promised that the new foundation would consolidate and sustain on the existing acts of charity and would also provide mentorship to young Nigerians to participate fully in result oriented activities that would widen their horizon towards self reliability.

Earlier, the Taraba State Governor, His Excellency, Kefas Agbu, who doubled as the Chairman of the occasion, commended El-buba for the initiative, describing him as a great ”mentor and inspiration” to many Nigerians towards his determination for the emancipation of the poor in the society.

He said, ”El-buba is not just a pastor but an inspiration and mentor to many Nigerians. He does not only teach Christ, but guides the people along the right path and offers hope to many others. He has brought positive changes to the lives of many and comforted many who are in difficult situations.

Unveiling the foundation, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, who was represented by Professor Isaiah Essom, called on spirited individuals and groups to emulate the philanthropic gestures of El-buba and to support the foundation toward meeting the needs of the poor.

However, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State who was also represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Jeremiah Satmark, commended the cleric for the initiative and promised to support any move aimed at providing succour to poor people in the state.
