I ‘ll strengthen partnership with sister security agencies- CP

Bauchi State Commissioner of Police (CP) Auwal Musa Mohammad, in his maiden interaction with the press assured to maintain and strengthen partnership with all sister security agencies in order to deal with emerging security challenges in the state.

CP Auwal made this public at a press conference on Monday at the Command’s headquarters in Bauchi to announce his arrival in the state. He said “We shall maintain and strengthen collaborative partnership with all sister security agencies and community stakeholders in a bid to ensure community security and to proactively deal with emerging security threat to the state”.

He enjoined journalists in the state to support the activities of the Command through positive reportage with a view to securing the state.

The new CP thanked Almighty Allah for giving him the opportunity to assume duty as Commissioner of Police in Bauchi, and therefore expressed appreciation to the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetekun for finding him worthy and capable of handling such national assignment.

He said that the task of policing requires collective and individual responsibilities, promising that the Bauchi State Command under his watch will deploy intelligence-led and community-oriented policing to secure lives and property of the law abiding citizens.

“Our strategy in fighting crime and criminality would generally be focused on intelligence-led and community-oriented policing”, he assured.

According to him, the strategy would no doubt foster the Command’s proactive measures in tackling menace of diverse crime and criminality trending in the state.

CP Auwal re-emphasized that the police in Bauchi will collaborate with the judiciary, as well as Ministry of Justice in order to facilitate proper prosecution of all criminal cases.

According to the CP , “ Despite discharging our constitutional mandates of securing the state,  we shall also respectively be accountable for our services and actions”.
