Security operatives rescue 24 kidnapped victims, a baby

In a successful rescue operation, troops of the 223 Battalion, operating under Sector 1 of the Joint Task Force, North West Operations Hadarin Daji, saved 24 kidnapped victims, including a child, and eliminated four abductors during a shootout.

The operation took place in the early hours of the day recently in Kabugu Lamba, an abandoned village in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, North West Nigeria.

Led by the Commanding Officer of the Battalion, the gallant troops stalked and swooped on the notorious bandits, engaging them in a ferocious firefight.

The rescue mission proved to be a success as the troops not only neutralized four of the criminals but also extricated and evacuated the 24 victims. Among the rescued individuals were nine females and fourteen males, with one of them being a minor.

This operation marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to combat banditry and kidnappings in the region. The swift action and bravery displayed by the troops demonstrate their dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens.
