Rimbut, installs as Ponzhi Gina-Rumbu

THE Acting District Head of Langtang-South, HRH Cleopatan Domven, has officially installed Mr. Ponfa Rimbut, as the Ponzhi Gina-Rumbu, in Langtang-South Local government area of Plateau state.

The installation took place in his palace at Sabon-Gida of Langtang-South LGA amidst cheers crowd that troopped in to celebrate their new ruler.

The Nigeria Standard reports that, Mr. Ponfa Rimbut, succeeded Late Ponzhi Rimven Karnap, who died last year to oversee the affairs of the Ward as the paramount ruler of his people.

While coronating the new Ponzhi Gina-Rumbu,  the Acting District Head of Langtang-South, HRH Cleopatan Domven, advised the new Ponzhi to not allow himself to be carried away by material things.

He encouraged him to make the local government proud by concentrating on how to generate revenue so that, they would not be left behind because the community has been left behind for that reason.

Domven, called on him to not allow power to over ruled his conscience of demonstrating quality Leadership that would not push him to suppress others over land issues and also embrace those who contested with him so that they would be able to contribute to the development of the community.

The newly installed Ponzhi Gina-Rumbu, Ponfa Rimbut, gave God the glory and also thanked the kingmakers and elders of the land for the confidence reposed in him to take the ancestral cluster of their forefathers to lead his people.

He promised to carry everybody along in the resolve to move the community forward by operating an opened door policy that would enable great minds of the community contribute their quota to the development of Gina-Rumbu people.

Highlight of the occasion includes the cultural dances as masquerades were also chanting their ancestral war incantations to usher in the new ruler based on the provision of the land.
