In appreciation of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State for including two of its members into the recent constitution of Interim Management of Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi.
SWAN Bauchi State chapter has assured of partnering with Bauchi State government to uplift the standard of sports in the state.
The Bauchi State SWAN Secretary, Bala Bawaji, in a signed press statement made available to sports journalists in Bauchi , said the appointment of Umar Saidu and Dauda Ciroma to serve in the new Management Board of the state darling team is well received with thanks and appreciated by the association.
He therefore commended Bauchi State Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, Muhammad Salees for being proactive in intervening to salvage Wikki Tourists from total collapse by bringing in well experienced and tested hands to oversee the affairs of the club under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Aminu Dalhatu Umar.
The statement however, appealed to all stakeholders in sports in the state to support the Aminu Dalhatu led team with prayers and encouraging words to return Wikki Tourists FC to its rightful position next football season.
While also commending Bauchi State Government under the good leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed for developing keen interest in sports development in the state, SWAN urged for timely release of funds by the government to enable the interim committee justify the confidence reposed in them by reciprocating the investment.
