PL/Utd  presents car to Technical Adviser

BARELY three weeks after his appointment as Technical Adviser of Plateau United, the management of club  has presented Coach Fidelis Ilichukwu with a brand new Peogeut 406 wagon as his official car.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the club’s Media Officer and made available to THE NIGERIA STANDARD  Sports Desk maintained that the Plateau State Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Victor Lapang presented the car keys to the  coach at a brief ceremony held at the club house in Jos.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lapang urged the coach to work hard in other to  win laurels for the club which is one of the fast growing teams in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), with a large followership across the nation.

The Commissioner explained that the motive behind the presentation of the car is to aid him settle down quickly and do his job with ease. And assured him of government’s support to enable him succeed.

On his part, the  General Manager of the club, Pius Henwan, said the essence of the gesture is to enable the coach settle down quickly in his new environment.

Henwan assured that the management  under his leadership will continue to do its best to give him and the technical crew all the needed support to enable them achieve the club’s objectives.

It would be recalled that Plateau United unveiled Coach Fidelis Ilichukwu as its new Technical Adviser after penning down a two years, contract to succeed Abdu Maikaba whose contract expired last season.
