TRC kick- starts tournament in support of #GenerationNext#

The Terah Rulebone Collection (TRC), has kick -started Peace and Unity Football Tournament in support of #GenerationNext# for youth who would like to take football as their career in Jengre of Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State.

The Peace and Unity Tournament which started Monday January 30, 2023 featuring teams like: Jengre B vs Kasuru (Monday); Buji vs Kadamo (Tuesday); Kasuru vs Gurum (Wednesday); Kadamo vs Jengre A (Thursday); Rimi vs Jengre B (Thursday); Zabolo vs Buji (Thursday); Gurum vs Jengre B (Monday); Kasuru vs Rimi (Monday); Jengre A vs Buji (Tuesday) and Kadamo vs Zabolo (Tuesday) respectively.

According to results of matches so far played January 30, the  Group A had Jengre B ward: 2 and Kasuru ward: 2 followed by Group B with Buji ward:0  and Kadamo beating with 1 goal while Jengre A beat Zabolo with 2 goals to 1 and Kasuru scored 1 goal against Gurum who scored zero goal respectively.

However, the organiser of TRC For #GenerationNext# Peace and Unity Football Tournament 2023, Philip, Terah Lapshak, said, the essence and objectives of this tournament was to mobilize support for the candidature of Dr Nentawe Yilwada in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

He added that it was also aimed at promoting peace and unity within Pengana Chiefdom as part of government’s effort in building a peaceful Plateau and to encourage youths who want to take football as a career in their life time.

Philip disclosed that “prices to be won during the tournament include:1st price=#150,000; 2nd price=#100,000 and 3rd price=#50,000 accordingly. Other prices to be won include the ‘Most Valuable Player’ going home with #10,000; Highest Goal Scorer: #10,000 and the Best Goalkeeper goes with #10,000 in that order.

According to the timetable the finals of this tournament will be Monday February 13 at the SDA Primary School Jengre District of Pengana Chiefdom in Bassa Local Government Area by 2pm.
