THE General Manager, Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Mr. Pius Henwan, has promised to be travelling with SWAN members to all their away matches in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), which will commence soon.
He disclosed this during the formal contract singning of the club’s Technical Adviser and players held at their office on Monday, noting that the support from SWAN gingered him a lot.
The General Manager maintained that the choice of Fedelix Elechukwu as the club’s Technical Adviser was as a result of his track record in the football industry, adding that he was the one who qualified MFM to CAF Champions league.
He opined that managing a club is not an easy task.
“Managing a club is not a child’s play, when I was appointed the GM, I thought it was going to be easy, but maintaining Plateau United need someone who is more sincere, dedicated to duty and open minded”.
“ I have been in this game for more than twenty years and there is nothing in the team that I don’t know, that’s why I was able to win the league two times and I am hoping to win another one”.
Henwan assured the new Technical Adviser of his maximum support to enable him succeed and urged him to be dedicated to his duty in order not to disappoint the club.
On his part, Fedelix Elechukwu, the new Technical Adviser, stressed that his target for the club is to win the league.
‘My dream is to win the league, even though it is not going to be easy, but with hard work we can achieve that,” he said.
